| Project Summary | Building Solutions Brisbane Pty Ltd (BSB) was commissioned by Formula Interiors - Brisbane to carry out the structural strengthening of the Qantas Freight loading scale concrete slab using FRP. The scope of works required FRP laminate for the purpose of strengthening as it was the most economic form chosen by the design engineers (Bligh Tanner). The works were carried out during the day and there were strict safety measures in place for all our personal. Time restraints were important to deliver the project on time. |

| Project Summary | Building Solutions Brisbane (BSB) was commissioned by Formula Interiors to undertake a large carbon fibre strengthening package on the 9th floor slab. The fit out involved part of the floor being designed as a bar area. In line with current Australian Standards, a bar area must be designed with a live load of 5kPa. Upon investigation by the structural engineer – Wood and Grieve, it was found that this slab had a live load capacity of only 1.75kPa – not even achieving current standards of an office. |
